Complaints Procedure

Last updated: 18 August 2026

If you believe AIWeekly has published something inaccurate, unfair or misleading, or you are unhappy with how we have behaved, this page explains how to raise it and what happens next.

Before you complain

For a simple factual error — a wrong figure, name, date or link — the quickest route is our Corrections Policy. Corrections are handled without a formal complaint.

How to complain

Send your complaint through our contact page, including:

  • The URL of the page concerned
  • The specific passage or conduct you are complaining about
  • Why you believe it is inaccurate, unfair or otherwise in breach of our standards
  • Any supporting evidence
  • What outcome you are seeking

Our timescales

  • Acknowledgement within 3 working days
  • A substantive response within 20 working days
  • Where a complaint is complex, we will tell you and give a revised date rather than let it run silently

How we investigate

The complaint is reviewed against the evidence recorded for the article, our Editorial Policy and our Fact-Checking Policy. Where content was produced with AI assistance, the review covers the sources and the human editorial checks applied, as described in our AI Usage Policy.

Possible outcomes

  • Correction, with a note on the page where the change is material
  • Clarification or addition of context
  • Amendment or removal of an unsupported claim
  • An explanation of why we consider the content accurate and fair
  • An apology where one is warranted

Escalation

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome, you may ask for the decision to be reviewed by the editor responsible for standards, who was not involved in the original decision. The outcome of that review is final within AIWeekly and does not affect any legal rights you may have.

Records

Complaints, decisions and any resulting corrections are recorded so that recurring problems can be identified and addressed.
